Despite the physical event being unable to go ahead as planned, Download Festival will be celebrating all things alternative with a weekend of exclusive footage, unseen performances, and interactive content from 12 – 14 June 2020 via their YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Across the long weekend, when the best and brightest from the world of rock would have usually descended on England’s Donington Park, Download TV will split its action into daytime and evening programmes, promising hours of live music and exclusive footage.

The one time only event can only be watched at the time of broadcast.

The virtual event will be headlined by the same bands originally set to top the bill on the festival’s main stage. Friday will welcome KISS, streaming standout moments from their 2015 set. Iron Maiden will headline on Saturday 13 June, bringing nostalgic performances, Legacy Of The Beast snippets, and promising something very special just for Download TV. System of a Down will round off the weekend as Download TV streams their performances from 2005, 2011, and 2017.

Across the weekend, fans will also get to witness the likes of Biffy Clyro, Deftones, Babymetal, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Creeper, The Offspring, Blues Pills, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Funeral For A Friend, Volbeat, The Darkness, Bowling For Soup in action, plus some very special guests.

During the day, Download TV will host interactive activities, from a cookalong with MasterChef‘s Simon Wood, vegan superstars BOSH, and Nat’s What I Recon straight from Australia.

There will also be live Q&As with artists, live lockdown performances, tutorials, mindfulness sessions, and even some content provided by Downloaders too.

Download TV is encouraging fans to go all out. Set up a festival in your garden, dress up, rock out, and take part. But remember to stay safe and follow social distancing guidelines at all times, of course.

Here are all the artists set to appear on Download TV from 12 – 14 June 2020.
