The Thinking Drinkers’ hilarious, intoxicating new bar hop through history invites audiences to enjoy five free drinks as they take you on a journey from the symposiums of Ancient Green to the classics of the British boozer.

Along the way, you’ll also take in the history of Wild West saloons, Victorian Gin palaces and the decadence of the secret Speakeasy. Audiences will learn lots, but they’ll also laugh a lot too – and, given they get five free drinks all bets are off!

The Thinking Drinkers are award-winning drinks writers and comedy performers Ben McFarland and Tom Sandham. The pair met in their 20s, travelled America together and co-wrote the award-winning Good Beer Guide West Coast USA.

In 2011, they performed The Thinking Drinker’s Guide to Alcohol at the Edinburgh Fringe, which sold-out to rave reviews and returned a year later and transferred to London’s Soho Theatre.

Their last show, The Thinking Drinker’s Guide to the Legends of Liquor, debuted at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival returned again in 2015.

These days the Thinking Drinkers are columnists for the Daily Telegraph and regularly contribute to an array of other international publications. They also co-host the podcast It’s The Drink Talking alongside BBC Saturday Kitchen’s wine expert Sam Caporn.
