A-Z
The A-Z of Kevin Hart
Learn your ABCs with the blockbusting stand-up – on his way to UK stages this summer
A is for Acting My Age
This is the name of the eagerly anticipated upcoming tour, which will see Kevin Hart do seven nights in the UK and Ireland, this May 2025. Something tells us though the 45-year-old comedy powerhouse won’t quite be acting his age – and for that, we’re grateful.
B is for Box Office
It’s not just on stage that Kevin Hart delivers. In Hollywood, he’s as close as you get to a safe bet, with a staggering 11 films to have opened at No.1 at the box office.
C is for Chocolate Droppa
Okay so we now have established this man is a force as a stand-up comedian, and as an actor. But did you know he’s a rapper, too? Performing as his alter-ego, under the name ‘Chocolate Droppa’, while infusing comedy into the music, he is legitimately signed to Motown Records, and released a mixtape in 2016.
D is for Dwayne Johnson
AKA The Rock. AKA Kevin Hart’s Hollywood partner in crime. The duo have now starred in five films together, which began with Central Intelligence in 2016. It’s not just on screen they have a palpable rapport, their interview content during the promotional runs are equally worth seeking out.
E is for Emmys
Hart has now been nominated for four Primetime Emmys. Still yet to win one. But never underestimate him, his time will come.
F is for Fatherhood
Hart is one of the busiest men in the industry, and balances his work ethic, with being a father – to four children, no less.
G is for Get Hard
Kevin Hart often works so well alongside a fellow comic actor on screen. Like any great Premier League partnership in the 1990s, the one big man, one little man approach has served Hollywood comedies too. And when it’s not with Dwayne Johnson, he can be seen sparring with Will Ferrell in the brilliantly absurd feature Get Hard, released in 2015.
H is for Hartbeat Productions
Hartbeat is the comedian’s production company, described as a ‘global, multi-platform entertainment company creating content and experiences at the intersections of comedy and culture with a mission to keep the world laughing together’.
I is for I’m A Grown Little Man
This was Hart’s first stand-up special, debuting in 2009. With some of his funniest work to date, nobody is safe from ridicule in a show that really put him on a map when it came to his stand-up reputation.
J is for Jumanji
This popular reboot of the classic Robin Williams production, already has two films to its name, with Welcome To The Jungle released in 2017, and The Next Level arriving two years later. There is also a third in the works…
K is for Kevin Darnell Hart
Born in Philadelphia in July 1979, Kevin Darnell Hart is the full name of one of the most iconic stand-up comedians this century.
L is for Laugh Out Loud Network
The LOL Network is a multi-platform comedy brand, and the number one streaming comedy network. Founded by Hart in 2017, the ambition is to provide opportunity for comedians, and those under-represented in the business, and has amassed over a billion views.
M is for The Masked Singer
Hart appeared in the season premiere for the popular light-entertainment show The Masked Singer. He was ‘Book’, and after what was, respectfully, a rubbish performance, he unmasked himself before the judges or the audience even had the opportunity to vote him off.
N is for Netflix
Netflix have been a long supporter of comedy and comedians and have produced, and provided a home for Hart’s stand-up specials, such as Irresponsible (2019) and Zero F**ks Given (2020).
O is for Open Book
Hart has always bared a lot of himself on stage and it’s one of the things that has always stood him out from the crowd. With a frenetic comedic style that thrives on high-energy and a fast pace, in between the noisy anecdotes, comes some raw, vulnerable material.
P is for Poker
After Hart had to squash his aspirations to become a basketball player (no, seriously), he eventually settled on another competitive sport, in the surprising form of poker. He has even played in the World Series and has been a firm advocate for the game ever since.
Q is for Quite Short
Look, let’s not beat around the bush. Kevin Hart is not the tallest comedian on the circuit. It’s often a source of his self-deprecating jokes, though his exact height is still unknown. Though as he has said before, “If I put a boot on, I can get to 5’5 and a half”. But hey, it’s better to be quite short than quite funny.
R is for Roast
No we’re not talking about how Hart finds his way around a joint of beef (though something tells us this annoyingly talented man is probably really good at that too) – but instead we are referring to the Comedy Central Roasts, where celebrities are put front and centre, and in British terms, they are ripped the shit out of, solidly, by fellow celebrities. Hart is a regular member of the event, and uses his sharp wit to ensure he’s one of the very best at it, too.
S is for SNL
Hart has been the host of Saturday Night Live on three separate occasions, with his most recent outing – in 2019 – also featuring the Foo Fighters.
T is for Tickets
Tickets are now on sale for his upcoming tour, so hurry up – you won’t wanna miss out on this one.
U is for The Upside
Though of course it is comedy that Hart is known best for, he has occasionally dipped his toes into more dramatic performance. This much was evident in The Upside, a remake of the French drama The Intouchables, he performed alongside Bryan Cranston in the heart-warming drama about the touching relationship between a wealthy quadriplegic man, and an employed ex-con.
V is for Vegan
Hart may not be a vegan himself, but he did open up a vegan fast-food chain called Hart House, with four locations across Los Angeles. Hoping to provide an alternative to the usual meat-heavy operations in the fast wood world, sadly this is a venture that just didn’t quite work out for him, closing all stores at the end of last year.
W is for What Now?
This is Hart at his most confident best on stage. Selling out the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, this show was performed outdoors to more than 50 thousand people. Released theatrically, the stand-up show is blended with narrative fiction, even starring Halle Berry.
X is for X Account
There is not much to praise Elon Musk for, but naming his site X has made this feature so much easier for us. Hart has a big presence on the platform with 36 million followers.
Y is for Youthful
We’re not just talking about his looks, but one of the themes to Hart’s stand up, is this inability to ‘act your age’. To remain youthful, but in a way that is so relatable. We all think when we get to a certain age we will all suddenly just ‘grow up’, but the truth is, we’re all big kids inside, and Hart is on hand to remind us of that. Maybe it’s why we like him so much.
Z is for Zezelryck
Zezelryck is the name of the character that Kevin Hart played in the 2009 TV series Krod Mandoon And The Flaming Sword Of Fire. Heard of it? No, us neither. But it begins with Z, so that’ll do for now.
