Sindhu Vee announces Sandhog tour
The Edinburgh Comedy Newcomer award nominee tours the UK in early 2019.
Following the sell out success of her debut Edinburgh show, celebrating a Comedy Newcomer award nomination, Sindhu Vee will tour across the UK kicking off on 1 February 2019.
The tour announcements follows news of a two week residency at London’s Soho Theatre, as well as a future appearance on Live At The Apollo and a second Radio 4 series commission.
The Sandhog tour launches in Crawley, before running throughout the UK and ending in Bath on the 3 April 2019.
Watch Sindhu in action back in 2016 below.
Born and raise in India, with degrees from Delhi, Oxford, McGill and Chicago Universities, Sindhu Vee moved from life as a Yves San Laurent model to investment banking. Some years later, and now in her early 40s, Sindhu is taking on the world of comedy by storm.
Starting properly in 2015, her credits include guest appearances on QI, Have I Got News You For, as well as the host of BBC R4 Comedy of the Week podcast, and her own Radio 4 series Sindhustan.
Sandhog delves into the difficulties of love, looking at her relationship with her children, spouse and parents. Raised by an Ayah (like an Indian nanny), Sindhu looks at what her parents offered her, what she offers her kids, and her own personal choice of spouse.
Described by Sunday Times Culture as “the best passive-aggressive ethnic-mum routine for years” and named “high quality stand up” by Fringe Biscuit, Sandhog arrives in the UK on the following dates:
