Comedians Elis James and John Robins have been performing together since 2016.

Elis and John first met in 2005, performing stand-up comedy in a pub called The Yellow Kangaroo in Cardiff.

But it wasn’t until 2016 that the pair first toured together. The Elis James and John Robins Experience saw the pair bring their unique chemistry to venues up and down the country – demand for their madcap humour was so unprecedented that their Shepherd’s Bush Empire show in London that year sold out within a matter of hours.

The duo also present a weekly show on Radio X. In addition, their podcast, The Elis James and John Robins’ Show, has become cult listening – gaining them a devoted following, over 14-million downloads and a regular fixture in the podcast charts – and now the pair have written a book together, which they’re taking on tour.

Called The Holy Vible book tour, you’ll be able to hear Elis and John reading from their debut self-help book, which will see them deal with topics such as shame and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.

Last year, Robins won the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show The Darkness Of Robins. This year sees him take the show on a mammoth UK tour; James is currently gearing up for a Welsh language tour of work-in-progress gigs for September.

Their Holy Vible book tour will see the pair give audiences a rare glimpse into the off-air world of commercial digital indie radios most unproduceable presenters as the duo share stories about their experiences of working at Radio X.

Over the course of the evening Elis and John will explore human obsessions, and discover how they make us what we are, and though you may never have addressed a will to Brian May or cried watching Ronnie O’ Sullivan make a 147, you’ll have done something similar, and this hilarious pair will be on hand to tell you that you’re not weird, we’re all the same, so come on in and hear the vibe!

In addition, the book will be on sale on the night and the pair will be around to sign copies (or anything else you care to bring along).
