Download Festival 2015 adds 38 new bands, plus day tickets

Thought Download Festival was looking pretty full since the day splits were announced? Well they’ve only gone and added even more bands to the impressive bill.

Double celebrations are in order for the boys in A and Fightstar, as both bands mark triumphant returns to Donington.

“We are incredibly excited to play our first festival appearance in five years at this year’s Download Festival. Download has always been one of our favourite festivals in the calendar and this year is going to be the best yet!” said Fightstar frontman, Charlie Simpson. “We can’t wait to hit the stage and enjoy the mayhem.”

Meanwhile, cult alt-rockers, A, reunite for their first live show in three years, and first appearance at Download since the festival’s first year in 2003.

Drummer Adam Perry said: “We are so stoked to be playing Download again. We are excited to announce Shay (formally of Kids in Glass Houses) will be joining us on bass for the show and it feels great to have A back in our lives. Looking forward to seeing some old and new faces down the front!”
