Hello my dears,
What a week it’s been! I’ve been a girl on tour around the UK visiting Manchester, Blackpool and Edinburgh!
In Manchester I went to see Brian Conley in the musical Barnum, which was lovely. Sadly he didn’t manage to do the world famous tightrope walk on the night I went but I don’t think I could do it either! Read my full review here.
In Blackpool I went to the famous tribute show Legends and saw tributes to Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Meatloaf and Michael Jackson. It was a real hoot and I would recommend any of you to take a trip there if you find yourself at a lose end in Blackpool.
Of course I couldn’t pass through Blackpool without taking a trip to the Winter Gardens Theatre to check out Jane MacDonald in the latest production of Cats the Musical. Jane was the perfect choice to play the iconic role of Grizabella in this area of the UK as she is from nearby Yorkshire herself. Would she be a good choice to play the role in the West End? No. But the two minute standing ovation at the end of the song Memory is proof that she is perfect for Blackpool.
Ticketmaster and I have teamed up on a very exciting competition where you can win tickets to see Cats in Blackpool with a behind the scenes tour and dinner. Click here for more info and to enter.
Edinburgh was a hoot and a half. It was my first time up at the Festival Fringe and it was such a lovely atmosphere. Three days wasn’t long enough but I managed to fit in about 11 shows – next time I plan to go for longer!
I’ve just finished filming my latest YouTube Q&A video which was an exciting afternoon so look out for that on my website soon. Check out my YouTube channel here for some interview with West End stars! I’ve also started to get in to the new live streaming app Periscope so download that and follow me as it’s such fun!
