Bringing together stars of Broadway and London’s West End, West End Proms promises a spectacular evening of live music coming to Greenwich Music Time, London and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre this July.

Accompanied by a 32-piece orchestra, the event will include performances taken from the likes of Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, The Greatest Showman, Rock Of Ages, Wicked, Sunset Boulevard, and Broadway smash and forthcoming West End show Dear Even Hansen.

The list of confirmed performers include award-winning John Owen-Jones, also set to take on the role of Jean Valjean (shared with Alfie Boe) at the forthcoming production of Les Misérables at London’s Gielgud Theatre. He’ll be joined by ITV’s Superstar winner Ben Forster, Hamilton stars Rachel John and Jon Robyns, and stars of Heathers Jodie Steele and Jamie Muscato.

The list of performers is completed by Over The Rainbow finalist Lauren Samuels, and Dreamgirls and Waitress star Marisha Wallace.

West End Proms will launch at London’s Greenwich Music Time, at the Old Royal Naval College on Thursday 4 July 2019, before taking to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday 5 July 2019.

Greenwich Music Time, taking place from 1 – 7 July 2019, presents a series of concerts against the backdrop of the Old Royal Naval College, the Thames and the London skyline. As well as West End Proms, the series will also welcome headline performances by Cliff Richard, Paul Weller, Groove Armada and more.

Scarborough Open Air Theatre – the largest purpose built outdoor concert arena in the UK – will host the likes of Kylie Minogue, Madness, Years & Years, Jess Glynne, Lewis Capaldi and Cliff Richard as well as the newly announced West End Proms.

“This is the first time we’re bringing West End Proms to London and Scarborough and it’s going to be an incredible evening,” says director Peter Taylor. “This is more than a concert; it’s a show worthy of the West End and Broadway. We’ve brought together some of the world’s most beautiful voices complete with a stunning live orchestra. It will be an extraordinary night.”

Tickets for West End Proms will be available from 9:00 on Friday 29 March 2019 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
