With the Easter bank holiday in sight, we’ve rounded up five of the best events for families. That’s ALL the family, so no bored faces while the kids have all the fun.
Sam Mendes’ stage adaptation of this classic tale still packs something for mum and dad too. Currently showing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, there are few musicals that will satisfy your Easter sweet tooth in quite the same way.
Fancy a spot of thrill-seeking this bank holiday? Say hello to the home of European Drag Racing, fit for a family visit (especially if you’ve got a mini adrenaline junky in tow).
If Mr Tumble is the most popular man in your house, take the little ones to meet their CBeebies heroes at this country-wide event. Mr Tumble’s Circus stops at Cardiff, London, Sheffield, Liverpool, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester throughout April.
At risk of having your home appliances used as musical instruments for the rest of April, Stomp promises to capture the imagination of all the family. The multi-award winning production is showing at London’s Ambassadors Theatre this Easter – but we can’t promise you won’t be the one hitting the bin with a wooden spatula when you get home.
For a failsafe family option, we recommend The Lion King at London’s Lyceum Theatre. The familiar tale is adapted beautifully for stage, with all the sing-along and tear-jerker moments of the original Disney film. Just don’t forget the tissues!
