The Strictly Come Dancing 2016 Live tour is taking shape

Strictly Come Dancing Live! returns for a ninth year of ballroom glitz throughout January and February 2016.

Here’s what we know so far…

The celebrity dancers

Actress Georgia May Foote, Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott, TV presenter Anita Rani, and Frankie Bridge from The Saturdays have all been confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour. They’ll join more celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s BBC One series.

The host

Presenting duties will be handed over to the ever-brilliant Mel Giedroyc, who will host the 2016 tour.

Mel says, “I’ve been a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing for many years, so am thrilled to be hosting the 2016 UK Live Tour. The celebrity dancers and their professional partners will make for a sequin-tacular time on stage. (Note to self – must rent a pair of sparkling white dentures for January/February…). Who knows I might even shake a leg myself – as long as Strictly provide me with a surgical corset!”

The Judges

Star judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood (who also directs the tour) and Bruno Tonioli will be dishing out their best critiques during the 30 date live extravaganza.

The tour opens at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on 22 January 2016. It will then visit eight of the biggest entertainment venues across the UK before culminating at The O2, London on Valentine’s Day. Full Strictly Come Dancing UK live tour dates:
