Silver-screen star Sophia Loren debuts at the West End's Aldwych Theatre for one night only.

Celebrating one of Italy’s biggest cinema icons, the special event marks Loren’s West End debut, taking place at the Aldwych Theatre on 28 October 2018.
Hosted by Jonathon Ross, the unmissable evening will span her glorious career, followed by a Q&A where fans will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to ask Sophia questions.
Loren began her film career in 1951, before starring in her first Hollywood film, The Pride and the Passion, in 1957 alongside the legendary Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra.
In 1960, she starred in her most acclaimed role to date, as the lead in Two Women – which won her the 1961 Academy Award for Best Actress, as well as being the first to win it for a non-English-language film.
As one of the biggest actresses of the ’60s, she also starred opposite Marlon Brando in 1967’s A Countess from Hong Kong, as well as roles in Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (1963), which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film and Marriage, Italian Style (1964), which earned Loren another Oscar nomination.
During her extensive almost-seven-decade career, she has also won a Bafta, a Grammy, and five special Golden Globe Awards, and continues to appear in films including 1995’s Grumpier Old Men and 2009’s Nine.
