The secret’s out… The Great Gatsby is back!
After taking the world of immersive theatre by storm, The Great Gatsby has returned to London and is launching late-night parties.
Want to come party with Jay Gatsby? Thanks to The Great Gatsby you can. This unique and engaging adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel is now playing at a new secret central London location (in Zone 1) through 10 September.
Imagine watching one of literature’s most unforgettable love stories unfold all around you. As part of the immersive experience, you’ll be transported back in time to the Roaring ’20s where everything is extravagant and scandalous – from the flowing bootleg liquor to the flapper girls. And, of course, jazz reigns supreme here.
Presented by The Guild of Misrule, The Great Gatsby had a sell-out run at VAULT Festival earlier this year. Further shifting the boundaries between performer and audience, the company is launching fortnightly parties called Gatsby Lates on Fridays and Saturdays beginning 23 June. These special late-night events will feature live music, DJs and surprise performers.
Directed by Alex Wright, the cast features Ollie Tilney as the charming and mysterious Gatsby, with Louise Williams as Daisy Buchanan and Dan Dingsdale as Nick Carraway.
So put on a string of pearls and a glamorous cocktail dress or smart trousers and a jacket, and get ready for a hedonistic night bringing a great book to life.
Tickets for The Great Gatsby are available now at Ticketmaster.co.uk.
