Go behind the scenes with Rip It Up The 60s!

Join Harry Judd, Jay McGuiness, Aston Merrygold and Louis Smith in London.

Following the smash hit success of Rip It Up Dancing Through The 50s last year, and the recent UK tour, Rip It Up is set to take to London’s Garrick Theatre from 7 February 2019 to 2 June 2019.

The Wanted star Jay McGuiness will join olympic gymnast Louis Smith MBE and pop stars Harry Judd and Aston Merrygold when they appear together as the ultimate boy band of dance, presenting everlasting hits from the swinging sixties – the decade that changed a generation – from Mersey Beat, Motown and Mod to West Coast and Woodstock.

All four stars have already proved they have what it takes to impress an audience with their dancing skills having appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, with Jay, Harry and Louis taking home the coveted glitterball trophy.

Judd, best known for being the drummer in boyband McFly, took home the glitter ball trophy in 2011 whilst GB gymnast Smith followed in his footsteps the year after – impressing the judges with his flips, lifts and twists. McGuiness took glory in 2015.

JLS star Merrygold was a contestant in the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing, and has form as a judge on dance show Got to Dance.

Backed by the exceptional Rip It Up live band and a stunning supporting cast of singers and dancers, the quartet will be dancing to some of the biggest legends of the ‘60s from both sides of the Atlantic, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, the Bee Gees, Small Faces, The Kinks, The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, The Byrds, The Doors and The Mamas & The Papas.

The show also features others huge names from the decade, from Motown stars Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes to the King of Rock‘n’Roll Elvis Presley, as well as soul classics like Aretha Franklin and James Brown.

Don’t miss the show that celebrates some of the most iconic sounds, sights and events from that tumultuous period which transformed the 20th century, when it arrives at London’s Garrick Theatre from 7 February 2019 to 2 June 2019.
