Review: Minimasters go to watch The Gruffalo’s Child
We sent Minimasters Monalisa, 7, and Humphrey, 3, to London’s Lyrics Theatre.
Based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s award-winning book, The Gruffalo’s Child is brought to life on stage at the Lyric Theatre this winter in a magical, musical adaptation. We sent Minimasters Monalisa and Humphrey, and their mum and dad, to check out the show – here’s what they made of it!
What did you go to see?
We went to see The Gruffalo’s Child on a chilly Sunday morning. It had been snowing and we drove to the theatre – it was so Christmassy and the perfect way to spend a family day out! Before the show we went to a cosy café and had tea and chocolate mousse cake – then headed to the show! We loved the theatre, it was gorgeous!
What did you think of the show?
It was really funny and made the whole family laugh.
What was your favourite thing about the show?
Our favourite part was when the Daddy Gruffalo was interrupting the Mouse with his snores. We loved seeing all the Gruffalos – they’re really scary and might eat you!
Why do you think families should book tickets?
Families should go to the show because it’s a great day out and a really fun way to keep mums and dads and kids happy!
The Gruffalo’s Child runs at the Lyric Theatre until 7 January 2018. Tickets are on sale now – get yours via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
