Nicole Kidman WILL return to London theatre in new play

News just in! Nicole Kidman is returning to the London stage this September as she’s set to appear in a new play.

The Hollywood starlet will appear in Anna Ziegler’s Photograph 51, a play about Rosalind Franklin, a British scientist who helped to uncover the secrets of DNA.

Franklin played a big role in discovering DNA’s distinctive double-helix structure. Making her a pretty influential lady in our books (and the world’s, we’d hope).

Michael Grandage, who also directs Kidman’s forthcoming film, Genius, will direct the new London play.

Photograph 51 will open in September at London’s Noel Coward Theatre. It also marks the return of the Michael Grandage Company, which is previously responsible for shows including Judi Dench, Jude Law and Daniel Radcliffe.

It’s been seven years since Kidman last appeared on the London stage in The Blue Room.
