MAMMA MIA! will return to Blackpool’s Winter Garden
The hit musical based on the music of ABBA arrives in spring 2021.
Based on the music of influential Swedish pop veterans ABBA, MAMMA MIA! will return to Winter Gardens Blackpool from Tuesday 30 March until Saturday 10 April 2021.
The feel-good musical last played in the coastal town in 2014, welcoming over 100,000 people through the venue’s doors.
MAMMA MIA! began life in the West End in 1999, named after ABBA’s 1975 hit single of the same name. Now the seventh longest running musical in London’s iconic theatre district, the show has also celebrated a long-running stint on Broadway, as well as various touring productions across the globe.
The musical tells the tale of Sophie’s search for her estranged father, a quest which puts her unassuming mother in the path of three former lovers.
The musical celebrated extra exposure when it was transformed into a big screen film in 2008, starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård.
Featuring a huge number of ABBA favourites, including Dancing Queen, SOS and Thank You For The Music, MAMMA MIA! continues to delight fans across the world with its story of friendship, love and belonging.
The stage production arrives in Blackpool from 30 March – 10 April 2021.
Tickets for MAMMA MIA! at Winter Garden Blackpool will be available from 11:00 on Friday 24 April 2020 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
