Following a sold-out run at The Old Vic, Conor McPherson’s and Bob Dylan’s production of Girl from the North Country will now open in the West End.

Due to phenomenal demand, the strictly limited West End season will open at the Noel Coward Theatre from 11 January until 24 March 2018.

Fans can grab tickets through our exclusive 48 hour presale from 10:00 on Wednesday 11 October 2017. Find tickets here.

Set in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1934, award-winning playwright Conor McPherson beautifully weaves the iconic musical songbook of Bob Dylan into his story.

The show depicts a community living on a knife-edge as they huddle together in the local guesthouse. There, owner Nick – who owes more money than he can ever repay – struggles with his wife Elizabeth, who is slowly losing her mind, and their daughter, Marianne, who is carrying a child no one will account for.

When a preacher selling bibles and a boxer looking for a comeback show up in the middle of the night, things start to spiral beyond the point of no return…

The sell-out run at The Old Vic has been called an “instant classic” by the Times, and the Independent called it “piercingly beautiful”.

About the West End transfer, McPherson said: “Working with this stunning cast and the incredible music of Bob Dylan at The Old Vic has been an amazing pleasure and privilege. I’m delighted that audiences will continue to have the opportunity to enjoy our show as we move into the West End. I’d like to thank everyone who has brought Girl from the North Country to life and I look forward hugely to our next steps in this intriguing journey.”

The original Old Vic cast includes Ciaran Hinds, Shirley Henderson, Ron Cook, Debbie Kurup, Sheila Atim and Arinzé Kene –West End casting is yet to be announced.
