Catch Star Wars: A New Hope Live in Concert

Fans will be able to watch the hugely influential Star Wars: A New Hope, accompanied by a live symphonic orchestra performing the musical score composed by multi-Award winner John Williams.

The Academy Award winning composer has celebrated acclaim and honours for his scores to Star Wars, with A New Hope winning him the gong for Best Original Score.

The American Film Institute selected the A New Hope film score as the greatest of all time.

A New Hope was the first in the ever-expanding Star Wars film franchise, introducing fans to Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader and more.

It made household names of actors Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, as well as Harrison Ford.

Now known as Episode IV, following the subsequent release of three prequels, the original was directed by George Lucas who wrote the story for the first six episodes.

The most recent Star Wars film was released late last year, written and directed by Rian Johnson.

A New Hope centres around the civil war between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. It amassed a huge number of fans for its fantastical story, characters and striking visual effects.

It launched the complex relationship between lead characters Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo, as well as the fascinating dynamic with Darth Vader.

Fans will be able to witness Star Wars: A New Hope on the big screen, with John Williams’ award winning score performed live by a symphonic orchestra on the following dates:

28 November 2018 – Echo Arena, Liverpool
29 November 2018 – Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth
1 December 2018 – Manchester Arena, Manchester
7 December 2018 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
9 December 2018 – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
