Al Murray, The Pub Landlord, awaits UK general election results for FUKP

Britain’s best loved pub landlord is preparing to hear his fate after entering the UK General Election 2015.

Writing for The Guardian earlier this month, the comedian said: “January seems like only four months ago, but that was when I decided to throw my hat into the ring and run in South Thanet on the Free United Kingdom Party (FUKP) ticket.”

“And what a four months it has been. We always knew it would be an uphill battle.”

The Guv's common sense message to the UK

With his party pledges promising free dogs for ‘anyone who wants one,’ revaluing the pound to £1.10 and making South Thanet the new capital of the UK, Murray suggests he’ll be okay with polling 1%.

Win or lose, Al Murray has big plans to bring the Pub Landlord Live to London’s Royal Albert Hall on 11 October 2016. Tickets just went on presale – pick yours up at Ticketmaster.co.uk.
