London Wasps unveil charity shirt for The Stinger
London Wasps have revealed the one-off charity shirt for the The Stinger.
The annual rugby match has attracted over 100,000 fans in the past two years and returns to Twickenham on Saturday 19 April, where London Wasps will take on Gloucester.
London Wasps players will wear the special shirt during the match and 10% of all shirt sales will go to partner charity Sports Relief.
The elite version of the shirt will be available for pre-sale from Wednesday 19 February via Wasps’ online store, priced at £70.
A cotton jersey and a children’s version will be available to purchase from Friday 28 March priced at £45 and £35 respectively.
Kevin Cahill, Chief Executive of Comic Relief, said “We are delighted that London Wasps have chosen Sport Relief to be the recipients of ‘The Stinger’ at Twickenham Stadium on the 19th April. The match against Gloucester will be a wonderful sporting occasion and we encourage everyone to get involved and head to Twickenham for what will be a fantastic day out for the whole family.
“The Sport Relief-inspired shirt that Wasps and Kukri have produced will really make the day extra-special. It looks great and it is a brilliant memento of the day. Not only that but the donation of 10% of any shirt sold coming directly to Sport Relief will enable us to continue the work we do throughout the UK and across the world. Thank you to Wasps and all their supporters for being brilliant partners of Sport Relief!”
Tickets for The Stinger are on sale now and £1 from every ticket sale goes to the charity Sport Relief.
