Cardiff set to host 2020 Guinness PRO14 Final
Here's what you need to know about securing tickets.
Cardiff has been chosen to host the 2020 Guinness PRO14 Final.
The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20 June 2020 at Cardiff City Stadium.
It will mark the first time the Welsh capital has hosted a PRO14 final in the era of destination finals.
Former Cardiff Blues flanker Sam Warburton comments: “Rugby has always been a sport at the heart of Wales and having another world-class rugby event in our capital city is very exciting. I’ve seen a couple of matches in Cardiff City Stadium and the atmosphere can be electric with the right crowd – it’s going to be a great final whichever of the teams make it.”
Established as one of the most exciting events in the club rugby calendar, 14 teams from Wales, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and South Africa will compete to reach the final at Cardiff City Stadium.
Last season’s final was held at Celtic Park, Glasgow where a crowd of 47, 128 witnessed Leinster Rugby defeat Glasgow Warriors 18-15.
The race to Cardiff begins on 27 September when Round 1 of the 2019/20 Guinness PRO14 season kicks off.
The 33,280-capacity Cardiff City Stadium is home to the city’s football team Cardiff City, alongside the Wales National Team.
Competing players can look forward to a noisy atmosphere from what is sure to be a sell-out crowd.
