Freddie Flintoff tops up his trophy cabinet in Australia
Freddie Flintoff has been crowd Australia’s king of the jungle after winning their version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Amazing.
The cricket star saw off stiff competition from Australian Football League player Barry Hall and TV personality Chrissie Swan to win the show in the South African jungle.
“As an Englishman winning something in Australia, it’s unheard of,” Flintoff said after winning.
During his stint on the show, Flintoff took part in tasks that resulted in him eating a rat’s tail and being covered in elephant manure. So it’s fair to say he earned the title…
Speaking of his time in the jungle, he added: “I’m shocked. I’m stuck for words a little bit. I never expected to get this far. It’s a lot to take in really. I am shocked, surprised, pleased.
“I’ve got a lot of emotions going round at the minute. I’m humbled.”
As part of winning, 100,000 Australian dollars will be donated to the sportsman’s charity of choice: the McGrath Foundation.
Freddie Flintoff will be back in the UK this May, as he heads out for the first Balls Out tour with Clyde Holcroft.
