Everything you need to know about the London Motor Show 2016
The 2016 London Motor Show is in gear and ready to roll into London’s Battersea Park between 5 – 8 May.
Here’s everything you need to know about the motoring extravaganza…
Prepare for groundbreaking car technology
An innovative, two-seater hydrogen cell powered car, developed and built in Wales, will be displayed at the new London Motor Show. The Riversimple RASA is a lightweight and highly efficient, “network” electric car powered by innovative hydrogen fuel cell technology and the first road legal, engineering prototype is coming to the London Motor Show in the Evolution Centre.
It’s a motoring haven with the chance to test drive the latest models
35 car brands and over 130 different models, some to be seen in the capital for the very first time. The most recent additions to the show include Dodge, McLaren, Lotus and TVR and they join a wide range of car brands designed to appeal to all drivers. Importantly, and unlike other motor shows, a selection of cars will be available to test drive with the facility to purchase the car after the test drive.
There will be driving fun for all the family (thanks to virtual reality…)
The London Motor Show promises an exciting day out for all ages. The Top Gear racing simulator for children and parents will be there, together with the very latest racing game, Project Cars, which involves using virtual reality headsets.
Meet some of the biggest names in motoring
Every day the lecture theatre will play host to a fantastic line-up of honoured speakers including Sir Stirling Moss, Tiff Needell, Ben Collins, Nigel Mansell and Afzal Khan. They’ll be focussing on a number of major motoring issues, such as hybrid and electric cars, design and innovation, and campaigning for the new safety initiative called ‘Stop the Crash’. There will also be book signing opportunities from the guest speakers, plus the chance to sit alongside these established motoring names whilst they test drive cars at the show.
