The world premiere of the brand new musical comes to the West End in November 2021.
Current Six Day Series champion Elinor Barker will return for the London competition in October. The three time World Champion and Olympic gold medallist will join the women’s competition.
Six Day London runs between the 24 – 29 October 2017 at Lee Valley VeloPark at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The women’s competition takes place across the final trhee days, including the UCI Omnium on Saturday 28 October, and the competition’s first ever Madison on Sunday 29 October.
Riders will compete as individuals but team up with another rider for the Madison event, with points being halved and then added to each rider’s individual total.
Elinor, who finished second behind Great Britain teammate Katie Archibald at Six Day London last year, went on to victory at the Six Day Series final in Mallorca this March. She became the first ever Six Day Series Champion in the women’s competition.
Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald will now team up for the Madison here in London.
“I loved riding at Six Day London last year,” Elinor announces. “It was exciting racing and the standard was really high – I enjoyed it but unfortunately didn’t do so well, as it was my first race back after the Olympics! It’s fantastic that events like these have adopted the Madison so quickly and I’m especially looking forward to riding it with Katie. She’s one of my closest friends and one of my closest rivals!”
Madison Sport Group CEO James Durbin adds: “It’s double delight for us because we’ve got our Six Day Series champion in Elinor going up against last year’s Six Day London champion in Katie. The crowd will love it and they will love it even more when they team up in the Madison.”
Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday sessions at Six Day London have now sold out. Tickets for other days are available through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
