Find out more about the rescheduled UK premiere live concert performance.
With music by the Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer and Jacob Shea performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Studio series Seven Worlds, One Planet is coming to London’s The O2.
Initially scheduled for 2020, the UK premiere live concert performance will now take to the vast stage on Sunday 5 December 2021. Original tickets remain valid for the newly announced date.
Described by The Guardian as breathtaking, moving and harrowing, Seven Worlds, One Planet has become BBC One’s most-watched factual TV show of the year. The series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, first aired on 27 October 2019, highlighting the diversity across the globe’s seven continents.
The series took 1,500 people over four years to make, shooting across 41 countries.
Featuring the original song Out There by Sia, the live concert will pair some of the most spectacular scenes from the series with a live performance by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Clips from the series will be projected on a giant 4K Ultra HD LED screen.
The music for the series and the live show has been composed by film score composers Jacob Shea and Hans Zimmer, who won the Academy Award for his work on Disney’s The Lion King film back in 1995, and has worked on the likes of Gladiator, Inception and The Dark Knight.
