Described by Vanity Fair as a “Burlesque Superheroine”, Dita Von Teese is arguably the most recognisable Burlesque performer working today.
Her internationally celebrated performances have won the star plaudits and praise from the likes of Elton John, Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gautier and Steven Speilberg.
Her last tour, The Art of the Teese is the most successful Burlesque tour of all time, selling out theatres across the globe including five shows at the world famous The London Palladium.
The newly announced Glamonatrix tour will encompass dates across Australia, New Zealand and Europe, coming to the UK in April 2020.
The tour promises to take audiences on a remarkable visual journey built around the world of Burlesque and will feature an evening full of comedy and striptease, celebrating a diverse cast of male, female and gender fluid performers.
Encompassing show-stopping performances from Dita and the rest of the cast, the show will feature glamorous costumes from corset maker Mister Pearl, British designer Jenny Packham, French couturier Alexis Mabille, Catherine D’Lish, Brooke Brothers and more.
World-renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin will be providing bespoke footwear for the dates.
Speaking on the tour, Dita comments: “With the success of my last tour of Europe, I came home more inspired than ever and got straight into building new acts. I am coming back with an even bigger show than I’ve ever toured with before. Being in these historic theatres with audiences coming dressed to the nines, creates this incredible atmosphere, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.”
“For me, burlesque has always been about finding my own power and confidence,” Dita continues, “embracing sensuality and encouraging others to do the same in their own lives. Glamour is the art of creating mystery and allure.”
