Comedy line-up announced for Car Park Party

Enjoy live entertainment from the comfort of your own car this summer.

Live karaoke and comedy are set to return to the UK as Car Park Party prepares to host safe, socially distanced entertainment this summer.

Each weekend will welcome Car Park Comedy and Car Park Karaoke, all designed with personal safety in mind.

We’ll be updating the list below as more Car Park Party dates and venues are confirmed.

9 – 11 July 2020 – Henley Festival, Henley-on-Thames
17 – 18 July 2020 – Northampton Saints Rugby, Northampton
24 – 25 July 2020 – Newbury Racecourse, Newbury
31 July – 1 August 2020 – Chelmsford City Racecourse, Chelmsford
14 – 15 August 2020 – Powderham Castle, Kenton

The individual line-ups for each Car Park Comedy event have now also been revealed, welcoming the likes of Dane Baptiste, John Maloney, Stu Goldsmith, Maureen Younger and Sally Anne Hayward.

The comedy events are presented by Comedy Store Live, hosted by some of the UK’s best MCs and welcoming a vibrant blend of emerging and established talent.

Each location will host two shows with the same line-up. Here’s who will be performing:

Households will enjoy each evening from the safety of their own vehicle, as tickets are scanned through the car window avoiding the need for any direct contact.

Bringing the atmosphere of the iconic American drive in experience, fans will be able to purchase tickets for each event individually, choosing either one or any combination of comedy, karaoke and theatre.

What is Car Park Comedy?

Teaming up with the iconic Comedy Store Live, Car Park Comedy promises two individual shows per location. Boasting 40 years of experience, Comedy Store Live has hosted live performances by internationally renowned superstars as well as a wealth of exciting up and comers. Car Park Comedy will continue the trend, inviting some of the brightest names on the scene to the socially distanced locations, including recognisable faces from the likes of 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You.

What is Car Park Karaoke?

Teaming up with the celebrated The Massaoke Band, Car Park Karaoke brings together the live music experience with the unrivalled joy of a huge singalong. Giant screens will project the lyrics so that households can join in from their own vehicle. With themes such as Back To The ’80s, Family Movies and A Night At The Musicals, fans will be encouraged to belt out the words, bringing the Glastonbury and Latitude favourite closer than ever before.

What is Car Park Theatre?

Car Park Party have teamed up with the acclaimed Birmingham Stage Company , who will be bringing Horrible Histories to the stage in the form of their hit show Barmy Britain. Created to entertain the whole family, the show delves into the often-gruesome stories of Guy Fawkes, Boudicca, Richard III, Dick Turpin, Queen Victoria, and perhaps the most infamous of them all, Henry VIII.
