Snowing in summer! London park is covered in real snow to launch Disney On Ice Presents Frozen
A central London park was covered in real snow today to announce Disney On Ice’s next ice spectacular: Disney On Ice presents Frozen. To celebrate the first-ever live performance of the entire Frozen story, which comes to the UK from October, London’s Cavendish Square was transformed into a magical wintery, 41 years to the day since London last saw snow on 2 June 1975.
Among those present was TV personality, mum of two and life-long Disney On Ice fan Michelle Heaton, along with her four-year-old daughter, Faith. They were joined by a group of 20 children from Variety the Children’s Charity, and spent the day making snow angels, building snowmen and meeting some very special guests.
“The British weather is unpredictable at the best of times,” said Michelle. “But I’ve never seen it snow in June before! Today has been a truly magical day and I¹ve loved being part of it. Faith and I are huge fans of both Frozen and Disney On Ice so we can’t wait to see the two come together in the new show later this year.”
A representative from Variety the Children’s Charity said: “The children have had the best day playing in the snow and it was a wonderful surprise getting to meet some of the stars from Disney On Ice presents Frozen. They are already counting down the days to see the show!”
