It’s Always Sunny is coming to the UK
The Always Sunny Podcast LIVE! show is recording in London this spring
Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton will record a live tapping of The Always Sunny Podcast in London in April. The cast will perform a matinee and evening show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 16, to be followed the next day by a taping at Dublin’s 3Arena.
“Would anyone in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland be interested in a Sunny live show in the Spring?” So asked actor, writer and football magnate Rob McElhenney on Twitter a few weeks ago. The fans answered, and anyone living in two of those four countries has good reason to celebrate this morning.
So far only McElhenney, Day and Howerton have confirmed their attendance, but we can only pray that they’ll bring Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito along for the jaunt. And maybe a guest turn from someone whose name rhymes with Bryan Breynolds?
McElhenney and Howerton created It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and the show has now run for 15 seasons, making it the longest running live action show in US TV history. It was renewed in 2020 for a further four seasons.
Recently, McElhenney has been in the news when he purchased Wrexham Football Club with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. Their takeover of the club and attempts to return it to past glories are documented in the Disney+ series Welcome To Wrexham.
