Brown made her first scheduled appearance as Eva Perón in the Jamie Lloyd production
Bella Brown played her first show as Alternate Eva Perón in Jamie Lloyd’s Evita at the London Palladium this week. Taking to the stage for an evening show on Monday 14 July, Brown made her first scheduled appearance in the lead role – including an appearance on the Palladium balcony to sing ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ to the crowd below.
Brown is currently scheduled to play Eva Perón in three further shows. These will take place on Monday 28 July, Monday 11 August and Monday 25 August. Brown usually plays The Mistress in the show; on shows where she is scheduled to play Eva, the role of The Mistress will be played by Alysha Sontae.
Zegler wrote on Instagram: “The greatest to grace your stage is your Eva tomorrow! (I’m fine – pre-scheduled day off) She is the loveliest, most talented person I know and I cannot wait for the world to see her shine as Eva. My only regret is that I won’t be in attendance to witness this huge touch of star quality. I love you @bellaelupiabrown – she could not be in better hands.”
Evita will is currently playing a limited season at the London Palladium, with the final performance taking place on Saturday 6 September. Find tickets for Evita here.
