Introducing: CONRAD

Meet the soulful Manchester born singer-songwriter delivering epic melodies.

On his latest single Lost, CONRAD lays his feeling of isolation bare, written in response to a particularly painful breakup yet equally as poignant in today’s climate. “Clocks be ticking but my world is frozen,” he sings in the opening verse, a notion many will identify with as they continue to adapt to current norms.

Lost is about feeling completely disconnected from your whole world after a breakup with someone you’ve been with for a long time,” the Manchester born singer-songwriter explains. “Each day feels like you’re floating through space with no meaning – just complete emptiness and you’re constantly trying to find ways to distract yourself from reality.”

His frustration is palpable on the atmospheric track, harnessing the vocal power of contemporaries Sam Smith and Tom Walker. His soulful tones deliver the lyrics with a notable eloquence – a characteristic that runs throughout his handful of prior tracks. A subtle injection of electronics underpin CONRAD’s storytelling, a sound as imposing as it is intimate in its lyrics.

This potent mix has seen CONRAD rise rapidly from piano bars to some of the country’s most celebrated stages, having sold out London’s MOTH CLUB off the back of only a couple of songs. As well as having appeared on BBC Radio 1’s mammoth virtual Big Weekend event in May – joining a roster of heavy hitters including Smith and Rita Ora – CONRAD also took to the stage at BST Hyde Park in support of the legendary Stevie Wonder last year.

Now, with new music underway and further headline dates on the horizon, CONRAD’s world certainly looks to have meaning again.
