More artists have been confirmed for the first ever York Festival, set to take place this summer

The new additions join the previously announced headliners Lionel Richie, Westlife and Madness at the festival, set to take place from 19 to 21 June 2020 at York Sports Club.

Leading the latest announcement is the news that Lighthouse Family, who have sold over 10 million albums and celebrated hits such as Lifted, High, and Ocean Drive will perform at the brand new festival.

The festival is also set to welcome four-time Grammy Award-winner Macy Gray to their stage, who has released ten albums since her multi-platinum selling breakthrough debut LP On How Life Is in 1999.

Both of the new additions will support Lionel Richie on the Sunday at York Festival.

Madness, who have amassed no less than 15 UK Top 10 singles and seven Top 10 albums, will headline the opening night of York Festival with support from Lightning Seeds, Craig Charles and his famous Funk and Soul Club, Apollo Junction and York’s own Violet Contours.

On the Saturday night, Westlife will take to the stage at York Festival to showcase their latest album, Spectrum, as well as the hits Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings and You Raise Me Up. The Irish four-piece are stopping in York as part of their massive Stadiums in the Summer Tour.

They will be joined by All Saints, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Scouting For Girls with Howard Donald of Take That providing a very special DJ set.

Wrapping up York Festival on Sunday will be global superstar and four-time Grammy Award-winner Lionel Richie delivering hit after hit from his entire career, from his days with the Commodores up to his newest releases.
