Years & Years confirmed for Party In The Parc – plus, win tickets to the Golden Circle
One of the hottest bands in the UK right now, Years & Years will be bringing their unique sound to Cooper’s Field, Cardiff, on Friday 12 August.
The electro-pop outfit will be performing at the inaugural Party In The Parc, brought to you from the organisers of Pride Cymru and set against the picturesque backdrop of Bute Park.
Years & Years have had an amazing year, with the trio winning the prestigious BBC Sound of 2015 award and being nominees for the Critics’ Choice Award at last year’s Brits. Their 2015 smash hit single King, reached No.1 on the UK Singles Chart and their first album, Communion, also stormed to the top in the UK Albums Chart.
Now their announcement as headliners for the event makes for exciting news. Lu Thomas, Party In The Parc co-founder and chair of the Pride Cymru committee, said: “Cooper’s Field is a beautiful setting for live music and we expect to attract crowds from across Wales and beyond.
“We’re excited to be bringing this amazing band to our vibrant capital city which marks a whole weekend of music and celebration. All profits from ticket sales will go towards funding Pride which has become a huge showcase event for the LGBT+ community in Wales and the South West so it’s essential we keep this event sustainable for the future. Party in the Parc will hopefully raise vital funds towards this while giving people a great night out this summer.”
What’s more, Party In The Parc are also offering one lucky winner a pair of Golden Circle tickets, securing access right at the front of the stage so you’re smack bang in the centre of the action.
