Ticketmaster is proud to present Homecoming – a brand new video series featuring favourite artists exploring their home cities and the music venues that define their career.

In number two of the series, Bullet For My Valentine offer a tour of Cardiff, playing their first home show since 2013. Follow the Bridgend rockers as they reminisce about their early days playing the intimate Clwb ifor Bach, through being inspired by arena rockers such as Metallica and Slipknot, all the way to their own headline show at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.

Vocalist and guitarist Matt Tuck discusses his feelings returning home after three years touring the world, as well as offering exclusive access to the band as they revisit old haunts and rehearse for their arena shows.

“This doesn’t happen for a lot of people,” Tuck opens the video, “especially people like me and the boys. We’ve literally conquered the world in what we do, in our world. The legacy for me is the story that led up to it, and the music that came after.”

It comes as Bullet For My Valentine prepare to release their sixth studio album, Gravity, as well as playing more headline tour dates.

The band released their The Poison debut in 2005, unveiling four further album, most recently dropping Venom in 2015.

New album Gravity promises further development of their hard rock and metal sound, the music influenced by film-score electronica and icy synths.

“Over the last 12 months, I’ve been thinking about the word contemporary a lot,” says founding vocalist and guitarist Matt Tuck.

“I feel this is a contemporary record. It’s not an old school, heart-on-your-sleeve influences thing. We’ve done that so let’s move forward and make the band more interesting. We don’t want to alienate anyone… but we don’t want to write the same shit anymore. Metalheads will enjoy this, I actually feel the softer electronic parts make the heavy moments even more crushing. It’s about engaging the listener and taking them on a journey, messing with their heads a bit…”

The new video series, Ticketmaster Homecoming, offers exclusive insight into the makings of some of the world’s most exciting artists, delving into the spaces that have inspired and cultivated their sound and performance.
