We're taking you inside the homes of some of our favourite stars to raise money for vital charities.
Charity War Child have announced three very special shows as part of their Safe & Sound series.
Everything Everything, Jon Hopkins and Tom Misch will take headline duties, playing across three nights at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire from 25 – 27 November 2018.
All proceeds from the shows will go towards War Child UK as part of their Learn To Live Campaign.
War Child has a strong history of presenting live shows in aid of their humanitarian work, welcoming the likes of Take That, Wolf Alice, Coldplay, Jessie Ware, Muse, Ed Sheeran and The Killers to stages over previous years.
Funds raised from the shows will support children affected by conflict in areas including Iraq, Jordan and the Central African Republic. The programme aims to ensure they can recover from the psychological trauma of growing up in an area blighted by war.
Jon Hopkins released the critically acclaimed Singularity, his fifth studio album, earlier this year. Alongside his previous two Mercury Prize nominated albums, Hopkins has established himself as an electronic pioneer. He’ll be joined at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire by Alexis Taylor, solo artist and distinctively voiced frontman of Hot Chip.
Tom Misch blends jazz with his beat-laden sound, growing his strong DIY aesthetic. He released his debut Geography earlier this year, breaking into the UK Top 10. He has teamed up with the likes of Loyle Carner, Jordan Rakei and Novelist, with the promise of some of his friends turning up to join him on stage. He’ll be supported by his sister and fellow artist Laura Misch.
The third show welcomes Everything Everything to the stage, celebrating their most recent Ivor Novello and Mercury shortlisted album A Fever Dream. Special guests will be announced in the near future.
Here are those dates:
25 November 2018 – Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor, and special guests
26 November 2018 – Tom Misch and friends
27 November 2018 – Everything Everything and special guests
All three shows will take place at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Tickets for all three War Child Safe & Sound charity shows will be available from 9:00 on Friday 5 October 2018 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
