Virgin V Festival headliner Jay-Z teases new album
4:44 will be available from Friday 30 June 2017.
It looks like Jay-Z (who recently returned the dash to his name) has taken a page out of wife Beyonce’s book, and is set to drop a visual album on Friday. The iconic rapper, and this year’s Virgin V Festival headliner, will be dropping 4:44, his fourteenth album, tomorrow (Friday 30 June 2017).
Rumours started when Jay-Z teased the video element of the record at the Tidal album launch, which is set to star Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o and Danny Glover.
Having followed that up with a teaser of new song Adnis, Tidal have now unveiled a 30 second clip titled Kill Jay Z, which seemingly deliberately omits the hyphen.

Just what’s going to happen tomorrow remains to be seen. One thing’s clear, Jay-Z is well and truly back. 4:44, the follow-up to 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, will be exclusively available to hear (and watch?) on Tidal and Sprint.
Catch Jay-Z headlining Virgin V Festival on Saturday 19 August on Weston Park, Staffordshire, and Sunday 20 August at Hylands Park, Chelmsford through Ticketmaster.
