Picture the scene, 1000 musicians pour into a vast open space in Italy to play Foo Fighters’ Learn To Fly in unison. Amazing.
Unsurprisingly, the scenes were really that awe-inspiring as a thousand performers did just that in the picturesque city of Cesena.
Why? “The Foo Fighters are not in Romagna since 1997, it’s time to get them back, but we need a crazy idea,” explains the official website behind the stunt. “We have to organise something that kicks ass worldwide and can be seen by Dave Grohl.
“We will ask one thousand rockers to play one of their songs, all together and at the same time.”
There’s every chance their incredible performance was spotted by the Foos frontman himself, as the video went viral not long after being posted. Watch it in full below.
Foo Fighters play Milton Keynes Bowl and BT Murrayfield stadium this September, book tickets now at Ticketmaster.co.uk/foofighters.
