V Festival 2014: Bringing the vibe to festival season
With my Glasto blues still lingering, I am in need of a festival pick-me-up. So, in swings V Festival next week, posing the perfect antidote to my itchy welly-wearing feet.
So, who am I most excited about seeing?
Justin Timberlake
JT. The trouser snake. The man who grabbed Kylie’s bum, cried Britney a river and bought sexy back, he is sure to squeeze every ounce of performance out of his dizzying repertoire. And if all else fails, just check out the dance moves.
Rudimental
So yeah, I like totally met Piers and Leon from Rudimental a few weeks ago and therefore, it would simply be rude not to see them again. Of course, they are guaranteed to bang out an incredible set with their array of amazing tunes and enough energy to create a lightening storm… oh wait…
The Wailers
I grew up on reggae, my childhood set to a medley of gorgeously lilting, sun-soaked beats. I was therefore devastated to miss The Wailers at Glasto this year and equally thrilled that I haven’t missed my chance!

All Saints
Pure shores: on repeat. Crop top: on. Combat trousers: baggy. All Saints epitomises my youth and whilst I’m not sure they’ll be the musical triumph of V, I’m sure they’ll offer a healthy dose of nostalgia.
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran has a beautiful voice, is surprisingly good at rapping and is ridiculously likeable. From the stunning ‘I see fire’ to the crowd-galvanising ‘Sing’, he’s sure to leave the whole crowd smiling.
V Festival takes place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on 16 and 17 August – tickets are available here.
