Two Door Cinema Club announce London O2 Arena show

Two Door Cinema Club have announced their biggest UK headline show to date at London’s O2 Arena on December 13.

The band are also due to appear at this weekend’s V Festival and have already appeared at several festivals over the summer, including Glastonbury, T in the Park and Sonar.

Speaking of the show, guitarist Sam Halliday said: “I want to know how many gigs we have done to get here. We have been quite lucky to build our following in the right way – the pub shows, then the theatre shows, then the warehouse shows.

“It feels like a huge achievement, it is the thing we have been working very hard towards for a long time but at the same time we feel confident and ready that we are experienced enough and have got enough fans and enough songs and enough records behind us to headline the O2. It will be the biggest moment of our career so far!”

The Northern Ireland outfit have also unveiled details of a new EP, Changing of the Seasons . The Madeon produced EP features three brand new songs and will be released on September 30 via Parlophone.

Tickets for the band’s O2 Arena show go on sale at 9am on Wednesday August 21.
