Tour Diary: Turbowolf hit the road with Royal Blood
If you close your eyes tight enough, you can probably imagine what it’s like to support Royal Blood on tour. Luckily for us, Turbowolf took on photo diary duties when they hit the road with the Brit duo this month.
With a thrilling live show of their own, Turbowolf received rave reviews during the Royal Blood dates. Not to mention the buzz the Bristol quintet create with their own headline gigs. Like big riffs and eyebrow-raising energy? Then you’ll LOVE this lot.
Giving us a glimpse at life on tour, the eccentric rockers share their snaps from dressing room to stage while on the road with Royal Blood.
The mischief soon begins outside O2 Oxford Academy with a mysterious safe. Chris investigates…
Then it’s soundcheck time for drummer Blake, who we suspect is somewhat less camera shy than the photo suggests.
Meanwhile, bass player Lianna gets busy playing with stage props.
More floral decorations for our exotic stage set-up in sunny Oxford.
Noooooo! Possibly the worst thing to happen on tour…
Instead, we get crisps and Royal Blood’s Mike Kerr in a, er, shopping trolley. Sure.
…and grapes.
Lianna utilises the venue’s toilet roll, with riff-king Andy looking on in secret admiration.
Show time! Thank you Oxford!
Catch Turbowolf on their UK headline tour this April, with dates including Nottingham Bodega Social, O2 Academy Liverpool, O2 Academy Newcastle and The Marble Factory, Bristol.
See you there!
