This September, stateside ska legends Less Than Jake will be touring across the UK alongside co-headliners Goldfinger, the return of Save Ferris, and last year’s Fireball Hottest Band winners Thieves of Liberty. Joined by this year’s competition winner, the bands form the Fireball: Fuelling The Fire tour, kicking off in Sheffield on 19 September 2019 and running through to London’s O2 Academy Brixton at the end of the month.

The Gainesville, Florida veterans celebrate an illustrious career, with eight studio albums to their name as well as a handful of EPs. They most recently unveiled Sound The Alarm back in 2017. Less Than Jake’s catalogue includes hits such as rock club favourite All My Best Friends Are Metalheads, hometown ode Gainesville Rock City, and their iconic The Science Of Selling Yourself Short.

Ahead of the Fireball: Fuelling The Fire tour, the band’s Peter ‘JR’ Wasilewski picks Less Than Jake’s essential touring tracks. Discover more below.

Bad Religion – Lose Your Head
“One of our biggest influences and closest allies, Bad Religion is the band that has taught all us other punk bands how to not only survive, but thrive and still continue to be a force, both live and on record. This is my favorite track from their latest album, Age Of Unreason.”

NoFX – Six Years On Dope
“If I could choose another band to be on tour with for the rest of my life, it would be NoFX. This song is the first track on their last studio album and it just sounds so fresh and exciting. Whenever I get to hear Melvin sing, I get pumped. This song rips.”

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Wonderful Day For The Race
“The Bosstones are the literal godfathers of ska-punk and ska-core. When we were coming up in the early ’90s, The Bosstones were already at the top of their game and broke ground for bands like Less Than Jake. Always incredible live and always entertaining, they continue to release timely and heartfelt songs like this one from their most recent release.”

The Skints – Learning To Swim
“If NoFX is my first choice to tour everywhere with, The Skints are a very, very, very close second. They have been such good friends to us and they are arguably the best band from the UK right now. This song is a great leap forward for a great band. We love The Skints.”

The Damned – Love Song
“Ok, this isn’t a new song but dammit I love The Damned. This song makes me want to dive into the pit every time I hear it. Turn this up LOUD.”
