Tomb Raider, one of the most iconic video games, is coming to London’s Royal Festival Hall on Monday 17 September 2018 with a twist.

The audience will be wowed as the unforgettable music from the first three games – Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III – will be celebrated with a full live orchestra and choir at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

To accompany the music, classic moments of the game will be projected on a giant screen.

The score, written by internationally acclaimed games composer Nathan McCree, is part of the game’s legacy, and is as famous and recognisable in the gaming world as the James Bond theme tune is to the film world.

The game was first introduced to the world in 1996, and invited a whole host of gamers inside the world of Lara Croft, one of the most successful heroines of all time.

It is one of the most best-selling gaming franchises in history. By 1999, three Tomb Raider games had been released, and had sold over 63 million copies worldwide to date.

The game has also seen the character, Lara Croft, make multiple appearances outside of the game, from advertisements to touring with U2. She has featured in the Guinness World Records books in 2006 where she was crowned the most successful human video game heroine.

The gaming franchise has also been turned into multiple successful films. The character of Lara Croft was first portrayed by Angelina Jolie in 2001, and again in 2003 with a sequel, before being brought back to alive again earlier this year by Alicia Vikander.
