Find out more about the rescheduled UK premiere live concert performance.
Todd Rundgren has announced a world tour, celebrating his fifty year career at a time he finds himself nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The dates will combine a live concert with a book tour, for the first tour of its kind across the globe.
The tour promises his hits as well as diving into deep tracks from his huge back catalogue, including material from his 24 solo albums.
Rundgren will be releasing his eagerly awaited autobiography on 21 December 2018, The Individualist: Digressions, Dreams and Dissertations will document his life up until his 50th birthday. The live shows will mirror the book, soundtracking his musical career up until 1996 and including intros and stories that will provide a unique insight into the era.
The world tour kicks off in Germany on 1 April 2019, taking to Netherlands and a show at London’s Eventim Apollo before heading to the United States for the majority of its run.
Todd Rundgren began his career as a founding member of Nazz, releasing their debut self-titled album in 1968, only two years before his solo debut Runt. Following the end of Nazz in 1969, Rundgren went on to form Utopia; releasing both solo albums and material as part of the band for the following decade.
He continued to release solo material throughout the remainder of the century and into the ’00s, most recently unveiling White Knight in 2017.
His latest material, although not part of the narrative of the new live show, includes collaborations with Robyn and Nine Inch Nails members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Rundgren has also celebrated an illustrious production career, working on seminal albums Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf, and the self-titled debut by New York Dolls.
The live shows are set to propel audiences into the life and career of Todd Rundgren, offering UK fans the opportunity when The Individualist world tour arrives in London.
