Ticketmaster UK is to sponsor Henley Business School’s music and creative industries MBA.
Each year one student will be chosen to receive a funded place, worth £30,000, and the deadline for applications for the 2015 programme is September 18.
Ticketmaster will provide mentoring and will work with them on their scholarship projects, and the graduate could be given an opportunity to work within Ticketmaster at the end of the course.
“Sponsoring the Ticketmaster Scholarship recognises the vital role that the creative industries play in growing the UK economy and signifies Ticketmaster UK and Henley’s commitment to improving the skills of those in the industry,” said Simon Presswell, Ticketmaster UK managing director.
“According to the CBI, the UK creative industries’ contribution to the economy is valued at £36 billion; accounts for around 10.6% of the UK’s exports and provides 1.5 million jobs.”
John Board, dean of Henley Business School said: “This exclusive world-first initiative with Ticketmaster UK takes our engagement with the music and creative industries to the next level; it’s an enormously exciting development.
