Following a Ticketmaster poll of entertainment fans from across the globe to discover the most popular live events of 2019, P!nk has been revealed as not only the UK’s Ticket of the Year, but sits at the top globally.
“What an honor,” P!nk responds to the news. “I had such an incredible team and touring family as part of the Beautiful Trauma World Tour. We worked really hard to create the best show we could for all the fans and I’m so proud of all of us.”
Having been declared the Most Anticipated Event of 2019 in last year’s poll, the pop veteran lived up to the challenge following the release of her eighth studio album Hurts 2B Human in April.
The subsequent Beautiful Trauma World Tour saw P!nk perform across America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, including two sold out shows at London’s vast Wembley Stadium.
Metal veterans Slipknot lead the charge heading into the new year, now crowned the Most Anticipated Event of 2020 following their first No.1 album in 18 years, We Are Not Your Kind.
Their tour will see them take to Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and London in January 2020, as well as dates across mainland Europe.
Music dominates both the UK and global Ticket of the Year results, with the UK’s top five completed by K-pop sensation BTS, boyband legends Take That, stadium rockers Muse, and the return of girl power icons Spice Girls.
Outside the world of music, global smash hit musical Hamilton is the highest ranking theatre event, having previously taken home seven coveted Olivier Awards for its current West End run.
Globally, Metallica and BTS sit in second and third place respectively behind P!nk.
