Californian rockers Thrice and Swedish punk-rock heroes Refused have announced very special co-headline shows. The tour will see both bands take to Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, London, Manchester and Nottingham in October 2019.

Refused quickly established them as one of the most influential voices in modern punk, releasing the seminal The Shape Of Punk To Come – the band’s third full-length – in 1998. Disbanding shortly after, the album’s status grew rapidly in their absence.

Fronted by the enigmatic Dennis Lyxzen, the four-piece reunited in 2012 for an appearance at Coachella – going on to play festivals and headline shows across the globe and releasing Freedom in 2015.

Thrice celebrate a similar impact on the alternative music scene, last year unveiling their tenth studio album Palms.

Their catalogue includes 2003’s breakthrough The Artist In The Ambulance, as well as their experimental concept series The Alchemy Index.

Thrice, fronted by Dustin Kensrue, returned from their indefinite hiatus in 2015 for a run of live shows and festival appearances, before releasing To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere the following year.

Their most recent album, Palms, features tracks Only Us and The Grey.
