Thom Yorke announces UK dates for 2020
The Tomorrow's Modern Boxes tour arrives in the summer of 2020.
Thom Yorke has confirmed a small run of summer dates in 2020, bringing his global tour – Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes – to Glasgow, Manchester and London.
Throughout June, the Radiohead frontman will be joined by Nigel Godrich and visual artist Tarik Barri at four special shows, including two at the Eventim Apollo in London.
The trio are currently touring Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes across the US, delivering a performance that spans the entirety of Thom’s work, including songs from The Eraser, Atoms for Peace’s Amok, Suspira and his second solo album and tour’s namesake – Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes. Songs from ANIMA, released earlier this year, also feature on the tour’s setlist.
ANIMA was released to critical acclaim from the likes of Sunday Times Culture and NME, and welcomed a five star review from The Telegraph declaring it “a bleak dystopian rhapsody you can actually dance to”. Paul Thomas Anderson directed an accompanying short film, also named ANIMA, set to three of the album’s songs which can be exclusively viewed on Netflix.
After playing the UK, Thom Yorke will continue the tour on a number of dates throughout Europe.
