Alternative rockers The Wonder Stuff have confirmed details of a forthcoming UK headline tour.

The newly announced shows kick off in Nottingham on Wednesday 27 November 2019, before heading to Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Hull, Bristol, London, Norwich, Exeter, Bournemouth and Birmingham.

The tour coincides with the release of the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album Better Being Lucky, due in October this year. All tickets will include a digital download of the new album.

Alongside tracks from the new album, the band have confirmed that on this forthcoming tour they will also be performing their classic records HUP and The Eight Legged Groove Machine in full at the gigs.

The Wonder Stuff - It's Yer Money I'm After Baby

Forming in Stourbridge, The Wonder Stuff broke through in 1988 with their highly regarded debut album The Eight Legged Groove Machine. Featuring tracks such as Red Berry Joy Town, Unbearable, It’s Yet Money I’m After Baby and Give, Give, Give Me More, More More, the album launched the band into the mainstream, earning them slots at festivals such as Glastonbury and Reading.

Released in 1989, HUP was The Wonder Stuff’s second album release. It spawned the band’s first top 20 hit Don’t Let Me Down Gently, as well as fan-favourite songs Can’t Shape Up, Golden Green, Radio Ass Kiss and Unfaithful.

“When considering marking the release of the new album with a tour, I couldn’t help but think that we were missing out on an opportunity to acknowledge the 30th anniversary of HUP’s release,” explains frontman Miles Hunt. “Once my mind went in that direction it occurred to me that we had completely ignored the 30th anniversary of The Eight Legged Groove Machine’s release last year. So why the hell not do it all in one spectacular show while I’ve still got the breath in me!?”

The Wonder Stuff have sold millions of records and toured across the globe countless times in their 30 years as a band.

The group will be hitting the road later this year to celebrate the release of their upcoming ninth studio album Better Being Lucky, and will also be performing their debut album The Eight Legged Groove Machine and their sophomore album HUP in full at the shows.
