Our weekly round up of this week's biggest new tours, shows and events.
The Wombats have announced headline UK dates for early 2019, taking to the biggest venues the band have ever headlined.
With the announcement arriving ahead of their main stage appearance at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend, The Wombats will kick off their headline run in Glasgow on the 25 January 2019, running through to a huge show at London’s SSE Arena Wembley on the 1 February 2019.
The Wombats released their fourth studio album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, at the start of 2018, including singles Lemon To A Knife Fight and Turn. The latter was revealed as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, before being picked up across the airwaves.
They went on to sell out their UK and European tour, including a headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace, leading NME to declare them “officially massive”.
This summer the band have already appeared at the 50th anniversary of Isle of Wight Festival, Y Not?, Glasgow Summer Series alongside Reading and Leeds headliners Kings of Leon, as well as touring throughout North America alongside Weezer and The Pixies.
They are now gearing up for Reading and Leeds Festival, and their headline dates in January 2019.
