Irish pop-rockers The Script have announced a brand new UK headline arena tour.
The tour kicks off in Liverpool on 20 February 2020, before heading to Leeds, Manchester, Bournemouth, Brighton, Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Nottingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Newcastle.
The new run of dates will be in support of the group’s forthcoming sixth studio album Sunsets & Full Moons, due for release on 8 November 2019.
Fans can access presale tickets to the tour by pre-ordering The Script’s new album Sunsets & Full Moons from their official store before 17:00 on Tuesday 15 October 2019.
Fans will be emailed a unique code and link giving them access to the presale.
The presale begins at 9:30 on Wednesday 16 October 2019.
Earlier this month the band released the anthemic The Last Time, which is the lead single from the new album.
The Script vocalist Danny O’Donoghue comments: “This song is about the intense feelings you experience when you realise you may be seeing the one you love… for the last time”.
The official video for the track was directed by longtime collaborator Charles Mehling and stars Polish model Anna Jogodzinska. Check it out below:
The Script are currently putting the finishing touches to Sunsets & Full Moons at their base at London’s Metropolis Studios with the help of Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Coldplay, Beyonce, Frank Ocean), Manny Marroquin (Post Malone Lizzo, Dua Lipa) and Dan Frampton.
The forthcoming LP will be the band’s sixth full-length release and follows 2017’s chart-topping The Freedom Child.
Following the release of The Freedom Child, the group hit the road for a sold out 56-date arena tour. Promising to make every night on the tour unique, one of the highlights came in Brussels on St. Patricks Day with the band buying a round of drinks for the 9000 strong crowd.
Their album discography is completed with 2014’s No Sound Without Silence, 2012’s #3, 2010’s Science & Faith and their debut effort, 2008’s The Script.
The Script’s music has been streamed over 6 billion times and some of their biggest hits include Hall Of Fame, Breakeven, The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Superheroes.
The trio will hit the road in early 2020 in support of their highly anticipated new album Sunsets & Full Moons.
